Mental Health Conditions and requirement in India

According to the National Mental Health Survey of India, "1 in 20 people in India suffers from depression," "productive age groups are the most affected," "the economic impact of mental diseases is enormous," and the treatment gap ranges from 70% to 92 percent.

The event focuses on the lack of mental health services in India and neighbouring countries as well as the skills needed for mental health professionals in these countries. When we decide to serve society as mental health professionals, we need some skills apart from the ones we learned in college/university, without which it is almost impossible to become a successful mental professional.
